Briar's Blood follows foundling genius Briar Newton as she tries to learn more about her past and the man who has arrived at her home claiming to be her father. Set in Steampunk London, Briar Newton was found on the doorstep of Ms Hake's School for Young Ladies as a baby and raised by the maids and teachers. She developed a talent for inventing, earning Ms Hake a sizeable amount of money. Aching to be able to travel and live free from the school, Briar is fast approaching the end of the contract that keeps her from leaving.
